Brake Services in Denton

Out of your whole car, the brakes are top of the list for parts you don’t want to fail. As with most car parts, the best way to prevent that is with regular maintenance and inspections to catch any wear, damage, or potential issues early, before they cause any problems. Tommy’s Hi Tech Auto Repair offers brake-specific inspections and diagnostics alongside our general auto inspections, so you can be sure your brakes are thoroughly investigated. We also proudly use BG brake fluid conditioner to help maintain your vehicle's brake system.

However, if your brakes are already grinding, squealing, or pulsating, it is past time for just maintenance. Your brakes have likely become uneven, worn down, or fully damaged. Our ASE-certified technicians are brake experts, and can use our diagnostics to find exactly where the issue is. From there, we will walk you through the solutions — repair, replacements, etc. — and let you make the final call. We offer top-quality brake services for all makes and models.

Brake Repair FAQs

How Often Should My Brakes Be Serviced?

Your vehicle’s brakes should be inspected at least every year, a service which is usually included as part of the annual inspection formerly needed for your car’s registration renewal. Tommy’s offers thorough brake inspections, and inspects the full brake system during our oil change services.

How Do I Know Something is Wrong With My Brakes?

Luckily, your brakes will give you plenty of signs that there is something wrong before they just stop working. There are visual signs — seeing smoke while you brake, or the brake light illuminating on your dashboard — and audible signs — sounds like grinding or squealing when you brake. Primarily, though, you will feel the brake react differently. If your brakes start to grind, there is more or less pressure reacting to you than normal, or the car doesn’t start braking immediately, or is taking longer to stop than usual, you should bring your car in to be looked at as soon as you can.
