Coolant does two things: lubricates, and protects the metal and freeze point. Your car’s engine cooling system can be compromised by rust and corrosion caused by extreme temperatures. A simple pH test can determine if your vehicle’s coolant has stopped protecting engine parts and begun corroding. A coolant flush can preserve and protect the entire system by replacing the old, ineffective fluid, and should be completed every 50K miles, regardless of conditions.
